What an away day here feels like
A monumental village house, 15 minutes from Amsterdam.
Your team gets on the bus or into the car in Amsterdam, and a quarter of an hour later you're walking through Broek in Waterland. Wooden houses, narrow canals and a quiet you no longer hear in the city. On the Leeteinde stands Het Broeker Huis, with scratches in the floor and stories in the walls. That's where you think about tomorrow, today.
You shape the day yourselves. Start with the whole group in the Grote Zaal, pull up a chair in the restaurant at lunchtime, then retreat to the Tuinzaal to keep thinking. End with drinks on the water aboard De Neeltje, or skip them and head home on time. All of it is possible, none of it is required.

What's in an away day
From the first coffee to the last drink.
A full away day runs from 08:40 to 16:00. You're looked after all day: coffee, tea, water and soft drinks, lunch from our own kitchen, two snacks, the room and free parking. The price depends on the room and your choices, and we put it in a quote for you.
Is a full day too much? A morning or an afternoon works too. Drinks aboard De Neeltje can be added, for up to 8 people. Staying for dinner? We cook, and all you have to do is sit down.

Our spaces
Seven spaces, no two alike. You can always combine them.
Grote Zaal
Up to 170 people standing.
The heart of the building, with large windows, plenty of daylight and wooden beams over your head. Theatre, U-shape or long tables: we set the room up the way the programme needs it.
Tuinzaal
Up to 80 people standing.
Calmer and lighter than the Grote Zaal. Handy for a second session or a workshop, while we reset the Grote Zaal for the next part of the day.
Regentessenkamer
Max 25 people. Intimate.
A long table and an original mantelpiece. This is where you sit down with the board for the strategy session, or for the brainstorm that stays behind closed doors for now.

How to get here
Car, public transport or bike.
By car you park for free at the Nieuwland, a five-minute walk from the door. By bus you're here from Amsterdam Centraal in a quarter of an hour.
When you can come
Flexibility as standard.
Wednesday from 08:40, Thursday to Saturday from 10:00. Monday and Tuesday are possible by appointment, when we close the House off for your day. Other times we simply talk through.
The building
A monument, not a conference centre.
Built in 1775, in the middle of the village with water all around. Broek has the highest density of national monuments in the Netherlands, and you notice it as soon as you step outside for some fresh air.
Your team deserves more than a suspended ceiling
An away day where the work breathes.
Good ideas rarely come under fluorescent light. They come on a walk along the water, at a long lunch table, or in the break when someone finally says what everyone was thinking. Here your team lunches at the same tables where the bridge club argues on Fridays over who's cheating.
We make the coffee, set up the rooms and lay the lunch table. After that we keep a low profile, until you need something.
