Christmas drinks in the village house
A quarter of an hour from town. In January it's called New Year's drinks.

Christmas party near Amsterdam, minus the hotel ballroom
Drinks, dinner or a party. You choose, we pour.
Every year the same routine. A function room in a hotel off the ring road, a plastic Christmas tree and, by nine o'clock, the first colleague already hunting for their coat. It can also be a quarter of an hour further on. In Broek in Waterland there's a listed village house with a bar that only really warms up on a December evening.
We don't have a set Christmas package. You tell us what kind of evening it should be, we make a proposal and we shift it around together until it fits. An hour of drinks after work, dinner from the wood fire at long tables, or the tables pushed back for dancing. The House stretches to fit, from one room for a department's staff party to all the rooms for the whole company's Christmas party.

Drinks, dinner or a company party
Three formats & everything in between.

Drinks
After work, coats still half on.
A glass, a bite and a room that fills up with talk. Standing, the Grote Zaal holds 170 people and the Tuinzaal 80. Most drinks end with something warm, often a portion of chips, so nobody goes home hungry.

Drinks and dinner
First a toast, then to the table.
After the drinks everyone sits down, and suddenly you're next to the colleague you only know from email. At long tables the Grote Zaal seats 80. We put the menu together with you, and we note dietary needs per guest, by name.

Party
Tables aside, volume on 10.
The middle of the Grote Zaal is the dance floor, with stage sections for a band or a speech. The sound system is set up so it can be loud on the dance floor. Rather play your own playlist? We'll put that on too.
New Year's drinks in January
A toast to a year where anything goes.
If your December is already full of deadlines, raise a glass in January. Diaries are empty again, resolutions still intact, and a New Year's reception can be short and standing: a word from the board, a glass of bubbles and everyone together again for a moment. In a reception layout the Grote Zaal holds 140 people.
A reception for clients, drinks for the team, or both in one afternoon. You pick the moment, the glasses are ready.

Practical information
There, back & how late.

Getting here
A quarter of an hour from town.
By car it's 15 minutes from Amsterdam to Broek, and you park for free at the Nieuwland. The bus works too.

How late
Agreed with the council.
Last round is at 01:00, the doors close at 02:00. Those are the town hall's rules. And the deal with the neighbours, by the way.
Questions about your Christmas party
From headcount to last round.
How many people fit at a Christmas party?
Standing, the Tuinzaal holds 80 people and the Grote Zaal 170. Fewer of you? Tell us how many, and we'll see which room fits.
Can we hire the whole House?
You can. For each request we look at whether one room or the whole House suits your group best. All the rooms together hold 264 people, not counting the restaurant. If you hire one room, another group may be in a different room.
How late can a Christmas party go on?
Until 02:00. From midnight the music goes down step by step, at 00:30 there's no more dance volume, at 01:00 it's last round and at 02:00 the doors close. That's how the council has it. We leave quietly, no shouting or honking in the street: we live here among the neighbours.
Do we pay for drinks up front or afterwards?
You choose. As standard you pay afterwards for what was actually drunk. Rather have certainty about the budget? Then we agree a fixed amount beforehand, and that costs a little more on average. Alcohol-free beer, alcohol-free wine and mocktails are simply part of it.
How far ahead should you book a Christmas party?
Less far than you might think. Most people book parties in October, November and December only after the summer holidays. Put your date in the request and we'll see what's possible.
Can it be a private party, with friends or family?
Yes. For Christmas drinks with your group of friends, the street or the whole family, there's our form for parties: request an estimate.

Drinks in the village
A date, a headcount & a good idea.
That's all we need to know to get started. Put the date and the number of colleagues in the request, and we'll sort out the rest together. Rather hear first what the Grote Zaal sounds like when it's full? Come by, evenings and weekends included.
Come and look first. The estimate isn't going anywhere.
