Getting married outside the city

It feels like yours — even though it belongs to the village.

A courtyard beneath centuries-old trees. Halls whose walls have stories to tell and tables that didn't come from a catalogue. Chefs that cook as though it were their own celebration.

Het Broeker Huis stands in Broek in Waterland, fifteen minutes from Amsterdam Central Station. A monumental village house from 1775 — no franchise, no chain, no concept. A home to the people of the village for centuries. Where your day feels it was always meant to be.

Come and see for yourself. Or ask Thomas for an estimate. Or both.

Vows beneath the willows

Trees for walls, the sky for a ceiling.

Wedding ceremonies are often held in the courtyard — beneath old trees, with the village as a backdrop. Het Broeker Huis is an official wedding venue: the registrar of the municipality of Waterland marries you right here. Prefer to be indoors? The Grote Zaal also holds 100+ for a ceremony. The Tuinzaal is perfect for a more intimate ceremony, for around fifty. In the Regentessenkamer you marry most intimately: up to 30 people.

After the vows, a toast at dusk. A dinner cooked over open fire in our kitchen — three courses, five courses, shared dining or a walking dinner in the courtyard. A party that only stops when the last guest is ready to head home.

A digital peek inside the halls, or come and feel it for yourself?

Anything goes, nothing is required

No packages. No obligations. Your wedding, your rules.

There is no one-size fits all when it comes to weddings. So, we let you decide: the food, the drinks, the music, the flowers, the timing. Decorate it all yourself, or leave it all to us. Need a great DJ? A photographer? A wedding planner? Stylist? We'll introduce you, but you pick your own team. That's how it becomes, and stays, entirely yours.

We don;t do drink packages (hint: you pay the price). So drinks are charged based on actual consumption. We think that's fair. Want to bring your own favourite wine? No problem at all. The food comes straight from our award-winning kitchen. Prefer to bring your own catering? Everything is open for discussion.
