The finest terrace near Amsterdam

With your face in the sun.

The terrace on the Leeteinde catches the morning sun and holds on to the evening glow. Sixty square metres, right in the middle of the village — overlooking the prettiest corner of Broek in Waterland. Behind it lies the courtyard: two hundred and sixty square metres under centuries-old trees, where the coffee tastes just a touch better than indoors.

Not a closed-off spot, but an extension of the House. Here you sit right in the middle of Broek in Waterland — and that's exactly how it's meant to be.

Curious whether your children are welcome?

Terrace on the Leeteinde

Watch the village go by.

Sixteen chairs, sun from morning till evening and the feeling that you're somewhere the world moves a little more slowly. Coffee from Boontje in the morning, lunch with seasonal dishes around midday, a drink as the day slowly empties out.

The terrace isn't a "book-ahead spot" — it's a "flop-down spot". Wander over the little bridge, grab a chair, order a coffee and gaze out at the village and the boats drifting past. It's as simple as that.

See what you can order during the day when you're sitting outside. Or sneak a peek inside anyway.

The courtyard

260m2 under the trees.

At the heart of the House lies the courtyard — two hundred and sixty square metres under trees that have been listening in for generations. In summer this is the place for lunch in the sun, a drink at sunset, children running around and the feeling that no outside world exists here.

The courtyard is for everyone — no extra charge, no reservation needed. Just walk in and take a seat.

The courtyard is also available to hire as part of your event. You can have drinks here too. Want to know more?
