Het Broeker Huis is the restaurant where children aren't an afterthought. They simply join in. A play corner, high chairs, a menu that works for little people and a team that doesn't blink at a spilled glass of lemonade.
On Wednesdays, once the older little ones have been dropped off at school, parents settle in at 08:40 for their first cup of coffee during the Crawl Club while the littlest ones keep each other entertained in their strollers. On Sundays it's family day: sandwiches, lemonade, pancakes and an afternoon where families pull up a chair. Children dart between the tables or disappear into the play corner. And no one minds a bit.

Plenty of hiding spots.
The play corner and a tub full of markers within arm's reach — you can keep an eye on your children while you eat. The terrace on the Leeteinde catches the morning sun and has room for prams, scooters and everything children drag along. The courtyard, two hundred and sixty square metres under the trees, is where they run around until they're worn out. And then come back for a toastie.
High chairs, a kids' menu, colouring pages and lemonade. Even a changing room: with a nappy bin and wet wipes. And for the very smallest: baby food on the menu. It's all here. But the most important thing is the attitude: children belong here. Full stop.

Sunday, family day

Sunday is leftovers day — Het Broeker Huis's family-day moment. Fridges emptied, let's get cracking. The kind of mood where children vanish under the tables and parents forget they really meant to be home by four.
Booking is wise — leftovers day is popular. Dropping in is always fine. But we all know how much you love waiting for a table for even a minute with a crying, hungry toddler.

Is there a play corner? Yes, indoors, next to the (open) door to the football field. Books, games, colouring pages. And a view of your brood from your table.
Do you have high chairs? Yes, several.
Do you have a kids’ menu? Yes. With a sandwich, toastie, lasagne & pancake. And squeeze-fruit/veg for the very smallest.
Can we bring the pram onto the terrace? Yes. The terrace and courtyard are roomy enough for prams, scooters and everything you drag along.
Do you have a changing room? Absolutely. A changing table, with wet wipes and a nappy bin.
Do I need to book? You can always walk in. On Sundays (leftovers day) booking is wise — it’s a popular day with families.
